Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain has reviewed the proposal of construction of railway over bridge on the Hoshiarpur-Jalandhar rail track near railway station besides instructing the officials concerned to take care of all appropriate steps for public convenience. Holding a meeting at local district administrative complex, Aashika Jain discussed the project in detail with PWD and Northern Railways officials.
She pointed out as and when the project gets finalised and started foremost priority should be given to the convenience of commuters thus ensuring smooth traffic flow for hinder free movement. The officials apprised that the objections were raised regarding the length of the bridge as per the proposal finalised few years ago.
Underlining the issue, deputy commissioner emphasised that the length of the ROB should be fixed as pe the requisite need before finalising current proposal. The deputy commissioner directed the line departments to expedite the proceedings in a minimal time frame so that the project could be started and accomplished well within the stipulated timeline.
