The Punjab Government is continuously making efforts to strengthen infrastructure in the region and provide better transportation facilities to the people. Under this initiative, Cabinet Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal today inaugurated two important bridge projects with a total estimated cost of around Rs 20.29 crore.

On this occasion, the work to widen the bridge over the Ghaggar river at village Mandvi, costing approximately Rs11.61 crore, was formally commenced. The Minister stated that widening this bridge will ease transportation difficulties faced by local residents and help reduce traffic congestion.

He added that the bridge over the Ghaggar river is a vital link for the area, and its upgradation will enhance both safety and convenience. Additionally, the Cabinet Minister laid the foundation stone for a new bridge at village Phulad, to be constructed at an estimated cost of around Rs 8.68 crore.

He said that this new bridge will provide direct and smooth connectivity to several nearby villages, making life easier for the residents. Goyal further stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is setting new benchmarks of development across the state.

Priority is being given to roads, bridges, and other infrastructure projects to provide better facilities to the people. He also directed the officials to ensure that both projects are completed within the stipulated time and with high quality standards, so that the public can benefit at the earliest.

Prominent local personalities, government officials, and a large number of villagers were present on the occasion.
