At an event organized today by the *Majha Virasat Trust (Regd.), the audio musical poem *“Kadon Partange Din?” (When Will Those Days Return?)*, dedicated to **Vaisakhi* and written by poet and Trust President *S. Prashotam*, along with its poster, was officially released during a felicitation ceremony.

The chief guest at the event was Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, State Chief Spokesperson of the Aam Aadmi Party, MLA, and former Cabinet Minister, who is also the current Chairman of the *Hasham Shah Memorial Trust*. While releasing the audio musical poem and poster, Mr. Dhaliwal said that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the government is firmly implementing its cultural policy to address the new negative challenges posed by globalization and social media.

He stated that special steps have been taken for the promotion and development of the Punjabi language. Punjabi writers, artists, and singers are being encouraged so that Punjabi literature, art, and culture can be presented in other states as well. For this purpose, they have been honoured through various cash awards and prestigious appointments in Punjab government institutions related to culture, arts, literature, language, and music.

At the same time, heritage and historical sites are being preserved and maintained to connect the younger generation with its cultural roots. Mr. Dhaliwal made special mention of the poem *“Kadon Partange Din?”, written by **S. Prashotam*, President of the Majha Virasat Trust, and praised the colourful poster released on the occasion.

He appreciated how the poem poetically captures the realities of polluted globalization — dying and drying lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams — and how, instead of reviving them, their existence is being erased by the construction of stylish hotels and restaurants over dried lakes and riverbeds. The poem also reflects concerns about the rise of communalism in Indian culture due to political greed.

It further highlights how, instead of raising the message of social harmony and brotherhood once championed by Guru Gobind Singh to end social divisions, political parties often use Vaisakhi stages for attacking one another politically. Mr. Dhaliwal highly praised the poem for giving these pressing issues a deeply poetic and literary touch and described it as *highly relevant to the present times*.

On behalf of the Trust, Mr. Dhaliwal was honoured for his memorable services toward the promotion of Punjabi language, literature, art, and culture. He was presented with the *“Rangle Punjab Award”* along with a shawl embroidered with Punjabi letters.

Present on the occasion were poet and president *S. Prashotam, city president **Amit Aul, cultural movement leader **Dilbagh Singh Khatraye Kalan, **Harjeet Singh Sarkaria, **Pankaj Singh Ajnala, musical presenter and singer **Surinder Ajnalvi, singer **Darpindra, **Dr. Inderjit Singh Mehlanwala, **Kabal Singh Chhina*, other office bearers of the Trust, and a large number of art lovers.
