As part of the nationwide initiative MY Bharat Budget Quest 2026, a vibrant gathering of 768 young participants from Punjab, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh was successfully organised at the Panjab University (New Convention Centre), South Campus, Sector 25, Chandigarh.

The first day of the event witnessed dynamic participation and thought-provoking engagements, with the All Women Youth Parliament emerging as the key highlight. In a powerful display of leadership and democratic values, young girls assumed the roles of Hon’ble Speaker, Cabinet Ministers, and Members of Parliament. The session featured insightful deliberations, culminating in the passing of a resolution on the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, reinforcing the importance of women’s representation and empowerment in governance.

Another major highlight of the day was the “Sunday on Cycles” initiative, organized under the theme “Cycling with State Youth Leaders”. The activity promoted fitness, environmental consciousness, and youth engagement in community-driven initiatives.

The occasion was graced by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Renu Vig, as the Chief Guest. In her address, she lauded the efforts of MY Bharat and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for creating such impactful platforms that encourage youth leadership, active participation in policymaking, and meaningful contribution towards nation-building.

The event stands as a testament to the Government of India’s commitment to empowering youth and fostering inclusive development through innovative engagement programs like MY Bharat Budget Quest 2026.
