Police on Thursday deputed teams for clearance of garbage in some flood hit areas of Srinagar.Several teams of police Jawans alongwith trucks and tractors were today deputed in flood affected areas in and around Sher Garhi area to clear the garbage from the main roads. The earmarked teams will continue the garbage clearance drive in other areas of flood hit Srinagar all through the coming week.
Meanwhile, contingents of policemen alongwith Traffic police were deployed at Parimpora, Reke Chowk Batamaloo, Magarmal Bagh to regulate the traffic that is plying through interiors due to floods on the main roads.A relief camp was held for the flood victims at Girls High school, Puhru Nowgam. A Medical camp was also organized at the same place. (KNS)
