Acting in line with the mandate of the Punjab State Traders Commission (PSTC) for the timely resolution of traders’ issues, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Chaba today convened a review meeting with traders at the District Administrative Complex. The meeting was attended by officials from various departments and focused on addressing pending grievances raised during earlier interactions at district and constituency levels.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner heard the concerns of traders in detail and ensured immediate resolution of several issues on the spot. For matters requiring further action, clear directions were issued to the concerned departments to expedite their disposal within a defined timeframe.

Highlighting the background, Mr. Rahul Chaba informed that a series of meetings with traders were conducted during February and March, wherein various complaints and suggestions were received. While many issues were resolved promptly, some cases remained pending at the district level.

Taking serious note of these pending matters, the Deputy Commissioner convened today’s meeting to undertake a comprehensive review and to ensure their timely and effective resolution in accordance with government guidelines. Reaffirming the commitment of the Punjab Government, Mr. Chaba stated that safeguarding the interests of traders and ensuring transparent, efficient, and time-bound grievance redressal remains a top priority of the administration.

Prominent among those present were Assistant Commissioner (General) Rajbir Singh Bhangu, SP Rajesh Chhibber, along with a large number of traders and senior officials from various departments.
