Haryana Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister, Sh. Rajesh Nagar said that the State Government is giving top priority to the welfare of farmers. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, extensive arrangements have been made to ensure a streamlined, transparent, and smooth procurement process for mustard and wheat across all grain markets in the State.

He said that all necessary facilities and arrangements in mandis have been further strengthened to ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience and that the lifting of their produce takes place in a timely and hassle-free manner. Sh. Rajesh Nagar inspected the Sohna grain market in Gurugram on Wednesday and reviewed the procurement arrangements for mustard and wheat.

During the visit, he also interacted with commission agents and farmers to understand their concerns. During the inspection, the Minister also reviewed the services being provided at the help desk set up for farmers, the rooms constructed at the entry and main gates, the availability of gunny bags with commission agents, and the complaint register.

He directed officers to ensure the prompt resolution of complaints received from farmers. He also reviewed the food arrangements being provided to farmers at the Atal Canteen in the mandi and directed that the quality and availability be maintained effectively.

The Minister said that the State Government has upgraded the existing e-Kharid portal with several new provisions to further strengthen the foodgrain procurement process. He said that during the Rabi procurement season 2026–27, at the time of arrival of wheat brought by farmers to mandis and procurement centres, photographs of the vehicle along with its registration number will be captured to ensure transparency in the process.

He reiterated that the State Government remains committed to safeguarding the interests of farmers and ensuring that they do not face any inconvenience while selling their produce. SDM, Sohna, Sh. Akhilesh Yadav, Market Committee Secretary, Sh. Dinesh Kumar, officers of HAFED, along with other departmental officers, were present.
