Today, the state chief spokesperson of the Aam Aadmi Party, MLA, and former cabinet minister *Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal* said, while directly interacting with rural residents and addressing public meetings in villages including Poonga, Shaliwal, Majhimian, Saidogazi, Raipur Kalan, Zafarkot, Chakk Aul, and Lal Wala under the campaign “Four Glorious Years with Bhagwant Mann”, that the government led by *Bhagwant Mann* has, within its short four-year tenure, implemented people-centric welfare schemes that have elevated Punjab to the status of the leading state in the country.

He stated that the government had already taken revolutionary steps in power sector reforms by providing *600 units of free electricity* to 90 percent of domestic consumers in the state, without discrimination or restrictive conditions, which was a major master stroke.

Now, from *April 1*, another major decision has been implemented by reducing electricity tariffs for domestic consumers, shopkeepers, and industries.

Under this new revision:

₹1.50 per unit* reduction for domestic consumers

₹0.79 per unit* reduction for shopkeepers

₹0.74 per unit* reduction for industries

This move is expected to provide major relief to poor, lower-income, and middle-class domestic electricity consumers. In addition, an investment of *₹5,000 crore* is being made in power sector reforms to strengthen the electricity infrastructure and ensure *24-hour uninterrupted power supply*.

Under the same campaign, in the villages of Mehlanwala and Kotla Bhala, senior woman leader and constituency-level education coordinator *Advocate Amandeep Kaur Dhaliwal* highlighted the achievements in education reforms. She stated that under the education revolution, *28,000 new permanent teachers* have been recruited in government schools across the state.

As a result of strengthening the school infrastructure with investments worth crores of rupees, more than *2,000 students from government schools* have secured top positions in *NEET and JEE examinations, enabling **Punjab* to surpass *Kerala*, which had long been recognized as the leading state in education at the national level.

The meetings were strongly supported by Block President Sahib Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Santokh Singh, Inderjit Singh, Iqbal Singh, along with panches, sarpanches, dignitaries, and volunteers from the concerned villages.
