Haryana Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister, Sh. Rajesh Nagar conducted a surprise inspection of the Gharaunda grain market and interacted with commission agents and farmers. He directed officers to complete all procurement arrangements well in time for the upcoming wheat season and ensure facilities such as clean drinking water, accessible toilets, electricity, canteen, sheds, and repair of roads in the mandis.

He also directed that no negligence should be shown in the procurement of mustard and that farmers should not face any inconvenience. While interacting with the media, he said that a tender has already been issued to ensure adequate availability of vehicles for lifting wheat from the mandis, and arrangements for trucks will be ensured soon.

Adequate gunny bags are being arranged, and the government has issued necessary directions to all procurement agencies to complete all department-related preparations soon, he added.
