Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma today chaired a meeting to review the performance of Block Programme Managers (BPMs) in mobilization of Women Self Help Group (SHG) under Mission YUVA and Udhyam Jagriti 4.0.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the block-wise performance related to mobilization of applications from Women SHGs, noting that 12 blocks in the district have shown very poor performance. He directed the concerned officers to take immediate corrective measures to ensure effective implementation of the programme.

He expressed displeasure over the absence of most BPMs of NRLM from the meeting, except those from Kalakote, Budhal and Rajouri blocks. He stressed that such a lack of seriousness towards important government initiatives will not be tolerated.

To improve the performance, the Deputy Commissioner issued a string of directions. He instructed the District Programme Manager (DPM), NRLM to submit a daily performance report, highlighting activities undertaken for mobilizing applications from Women SHGs and ensuring their coverage under Udhyam Jagriti 4.0.

“All poorly performing blocks must improve their performance within 15 days,” he directed. Emphasizing the need for awareness at the grassroots level, the Deputy Commissioner further instructed to convene cluster-level awareness camps until all Women SHGs are covered under the initiative.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Employment, Mohammad Nawaz, District Programme Manager NRLM, BPM NRLM Kalakote and BPM NRLM Rajouri among other officials.
