In a major push toward technology-driven citizen services and smart policing, Haryana has launched a new "Registration of Missing Persons" feature on the HarSamay Portal andintegrated verification service certificates with DigiLocker. A GIS map-based Police Station locator has also been introduced on the citizen portal to facilitate seamless online complaint submissions.
The developments were shared during the 32nd meeting of the State Apex Committee for CCTNS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems), Haryana, chaired by Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal. The meeting was informed that the State has successfully completed the integration of CCTNS with eCourts and eProsecution systems, significantly reducing the need for investigating officers to frequently visit courts and law offices.
Alerts have been institutionalized for Station HouseOfficers (SHOs) regarding the release of prisoners, enabling better monitoring of individuals of interest. Additionally, an Aadhaar-based Generic eSign facility has been implemented for FIRs, challans, and other documents within CCTNS, resulting in substantial savings in time and stationery for field officers — a step seen as a direct boost to operational efficiency onthe ground.
NAFIS and Mobile Crime Units in All Districts
The National Automated Fingerprint Identification System (NAFIS) and Mobile Crime Units (MCUs) have been established across all districts of Haryana. Fingerprints, iris scans, and body measurements of arrested accused are now being systematically captured, creating a centralized and robust criminal database.
Haryana ranks among the leading states in MCU deployment and NAFIS uploads, earning recognition as an advanced state in technology-enabled policing by the central government.
Top Position 41 Times in 55 Months on Pragati Dashboard
Haryana has consistently achieved a perfect 100% score on the Pragati Dashboard prepared monthly by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The State has secured the top position 41 times in the past 55 months since June 2021 — a record of sustained performance that underscores the State'scommitment to digital policing.
Haryana Police has also won trophies at the Annual Conference for Good Practices of CCTNS-ICJS in both 2022 and 2023, reflecting national-level recognition of its technological advancements.
247 Vehicles and 400 Individuals Traced via ICJS
Haryana has effectively implemented new criminal laws within the stipulated timeframe, securing the second position nationally in this regard. The Interoperable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) has proved particularly effective, facilitating the tracing of 247 vehicles and 400 individuals.
Haryana Police also maintains a perfect 10/10 score on the Right to Service(RTS) dashboard, having processed over 78.33 lakh citizen service applicationswithin prescribed timelines.
