Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today sought cooperation from his counterpart in Pakistan Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for strengthening the initiative of mutual exchange of faculty and research scholars between university of Punjab Lahore and Guru Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar.
In a letter to Mian Sharif, Mr. Badal stated that he was of the firm opinion that such exchange program would go a long way in building up academic and intellectual capital of these two premier institutions of higher learning. Mr. Badal pointed out that Vice Chancellor Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar Prof. AS Brar has mooted a proposal of mutual exchange of faculty and research scholars between these two Universities to further strengthen the bonds of goodwill, peace, friendship and amity through people to people contact.
