An Inclusive Annual Sports Meet for CWSN (Children with Special Needs) was organised by Samagra Shiksha, Chandigarh, and hosted at GMSSS 23-A on 12th and 13th February 2026. Ms. Prerna Puri, IAS, Secretary Education and Mr. Nitish Singla, PCS, Director School Education, visited the venue, interacted with the students, and encouraged them to continue participating in sports and co-curricular activities.

The tournament was conducted in a structured manner at the school, cluster, and state levels to ensure wide participation and equal opportunity for all students. A total of 171 CWSN students from various Government schools of Chandigarh participated enthusiastically in sports events including Badminton, Cricket, Football, and Softball.

On the final day, 13th February 2026, 92 finalists competed in different categories, showcasing remarkable determination, talent, and sportsmanship. The event concluded successfully, reaffirming the commitment of the Education Department towards promoting inclusive education and holistic development. 

Winners securing first, second, and third positions in each event will be honoured during the closing ceremony of the Annual Athletics Sports Meet on 26th February 2026 at the Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh.
