Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan today reviewed the implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in the district. The meeting focused on assessing progress, strengthening monitoring mechanisms and improving service delivery to the farming community.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Dr Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, CAHO, along with officers and officials from the Agriculture and allied departments. During the review, the Deputy Commissioner directed the CAHO to closely monitor the progress of HADP initiatives on a daily basis and submit regular reports to ensure timely implementation of various programme components.

He emphasised the need for coordinated efforts among departments to achieve the desired outcomes under HADP and maximise benefits for farmers across the district. The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the setup and functioning of Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) established to facilitate farmers with advisory services, technical support and access to government schemes.

He stressed the importance of improving service delivery at these centres so that farmers receive timely assistance, information and guidance related to agriculture and allied activities. Highlighting the significance of agriculture as a key livelihood sector in the district, the Deputy Commissioner called for proactive outreach, effective monitoring and better coordination among departments to ensure successful implementation of HADP and enhanced support to the farming community.
