In a commendable initiative promoting community health, the Rotaract Club and Pharmanic Club of Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy, Bela, joined forces with Rotary Club Ropar Central to organize a free health check-up camp on Saturday. The event, held at the college premises, saw over 100 patients from nearby villages and urban areas benefiting from essential screenings for blood sugar, diabetes, blood pressure, and BMI calculation.

The camp was expertly organized by Dr. Abhilash and Prof. Ramndeep Kaur, who led a team of enthusiastic B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) students. Volunteers efficiently managed registrations, conducted tests using state-of-the-art glucometers and sphygmomanometers, and provided preliminary counseling on lifestyle modifications.

Patients received personalized health reports and advice on managing prediabetes, hypertension, and obesity risks, emphasizing early detection's role in preventive healthcare. Dr. Shailesh Sharma, Director of the college, graced the occasion and congratulated the students for their dedication and seamless execution.

"This camp exemplifies our commitment to social responsibility and holistic education," he said, urging youth to continue such service-oriented activities. Distinguished Rotaract and Rotary members, including Rotarian Ajmer Singh and Rotarian Kultar Singh, were also present, motivating participants and highlighting the clubs' synergy in community service.

Their presence underscored the enduring partnership between the organizations.
