While expressing 'his deep concern, anguish and grief 'over the loss of precious human lives due to the result of heavy rains, chairman Huriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani appealed all the officials and activists of his amalgam and his party Tehreek-e-Hurriyat to suspend their routine work and help the people of the flood affected areas.He said that these types of serious situation badly expose the hollow claims of the state administration that neither have they any kind of arrangement to tackle the natural disaster and nor are they prepared to deal with these situations. On the directions of Geelani, a top level delegation of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leadership comprising today visited the affected areas of the Srinagar and submitted their detailed report with him, a spokesman said.

 While expressing sorrow over the heavy loss of life and property, Geelani expressed sympathy with the affected people and prayed for the peace to the departed souls and patience for the bereaved families. He appealed people that with the preventive measures they should also held special prayers to get rid of this situation because the almighty Allah is all powerful and can do anything. "Sometimes the disasters are the result of the evil deeds of the human beings and the only way to get rid from this is to surrender before almighty Allah and ask for pardon for our sins," he said.

 While expressing sorrow over the 'inactiveness, unconsciousness and irresponsibility' of the state administration, Geelani said that people of the most areas are facing tremendous difficulties and there is no one to help them. "The water has entered in many houses of the cities and towns and there are no adequate facilities for its withdrawal." Geelani appealed all the constituent of his party to suspend their routine works for time being and help the affected people in every possible ways. (KNS)
