Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, today flagged off a Cycle Rally 'Paddle for Manasbal' from Clock Tower Duderhama, as part of the ongoing ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ campaign being observed under government's ambitious Good Governance Week–2025 programme.

The cycle rally was organised by District Administration Ganderbal and Wullar Manasbal Development Authority to strengthen public outreach, enhance citizen participation, and generate awareness about the core objectives of good governance, besides promoting healthy lifestyle practices and environmental sustainability.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC highlighted the significance of the ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore’ initiative, stating that the campaign aims to bridge the gap between the administration and the people by ensuring transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance.

He emphasised that such activities play a vital role in spreading awareness about government initiatives and encouraging community involvement at the grassroots level. Besides, Chief Executive Officer Wullar Manasbal Development Authority, Ahsan Ul Haq Chishti, a large number of district and sectoral officers, officials, youth, volunteers, and members of the general public participated enthusiastically in the rally, reflecting widespread public support for the campaign.

The rally passed through prominent areas of the town before culminating at Picturesque Mansabal, conveying a strong message on good governance, public health, and environmental protection. The event formed part of a series of activities planned across the district during Good Governance Week 2025, aimed at raising awareness on government schemes, improving service delivery, and strengthening grievance redressal mechanisms.
