Haryana Public Works (Buildings & Roads) Minister, Sh. Ranbir Gangwa said that an amount of Rs. 184.44 crore has been approved under the CRIF scheme for the improvement of the Jind–Panipat road. In Panipat district, tenders have been received for widening and strengthening the road from Panipat to Safidon into a 4-lane corridor.
The work allocation process is underway, and the project is expected to be completed within 18 months from the date of allotment. The Minister was responding to a question raised by Safidon MLA, Sh. Ram Kumar Gautam during the Winter Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha which commenced here today.
He informed the House that tenders have also been received for widening and strengthening various sections from Safidon to Jind to 7–10 meters and up to four lanes. Work will be allocated once Stage-I forest clearance is obtained. Completion of the project is expected within 18 months from the date of allotment.
Sh. Ranbir Gangwa said that the state government remains committed to strengthening road infrastructure and improving traffic facilities and continuous efforts are being made in this direction.
