Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the preparedness of line departments for the effective implementation of the Good Governance Week campaign -“Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore”, scheduled to be observed from December 19 to Dec 25, 2025 across the district.

The Deputy Commissioner asked for close inter-departmental coordination to ensure smooth execution of village outreach campaign. “The initiative must focus on citizen-centric delivery of services at the grassroots level, ensuring that benefits reach the intended beneficiaries in a timely and transparent manner,” he asserted.

Highlighting the core objectives of the campaign, the DC asked to focus on grievance redressal, dissemination of awareness about flagship Centrally Sponsored Schemes and J&K UT Government Schemes and promotion of Government Financial Inclusion initiatives. 

“Our focus shall be on enrollment of eligible persons for Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan, Mission YUVA, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), among others,” he said. The Deputy Commissioner directed the Heads of Departments to formulate and implement well-structured action plans to strengthen governance and improve service delivery at the grassroots level. 

Reiterating the significance of Good Governance Week, the DC stated that the campaign seeks to take governance to the doorsteps of citizens, while reinforcing the principles of transparency, accountability and efficient public service delivery throughout the district.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Vinod Kumar Behnal; ADC,  Pawan Kotwal; ASP, Pardeep Singh; PO ICDS, Rishi Kumar Sharma; ACR,   Idrees Lone; SDMs, besides other Officers and concerned Staff.
