Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today chaired a meeting of the District Task Force (DTF) on Pulse Polio Immunization 2025. The meeting focused on planning and implementing activities for the Pulse Polio Immunization programme scheduled to be held on 21 December 2025.

The DC reviewed key parameters such as human resource deployment, vaccine and cold chain management, logistics and transport arrangements, transit points, hard-to-reach areas, and the social mobilization plan. It was informed that 508 booths, including 12 transit booths, have been established across the district to ensure maximum coverage. 

It was shared that the district has approximately near about 87000 children below 5 years who are to be administered the pulse polio drops. The DC instructed Health Department to take advance measures to ensure complete coverage, particularly in remote and difficult areas.

He stressed upon all stakeholders to work in close coordination and ensure that no child below 5 years of age is left without pulse polio immunization. The meeting was attended by ADC Viqar Ahmad Giri; JDP Malik Suhail; CMO, Dr. Showkat Ahmad; MS, Dr. Syed Masood; DNO Ayush, Dr. Abdul Rehman; Dy. CMO, BMOs, and other concerned officers.
