Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Member of Parliament from Anandpur Sahib, Malvinder Singh Kang, today emphasized the critical importance of the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament in addressing pressing national concerns. Speaking to the media ahead of the session's proceedings, MP Kang highlighted the need for transparency and accountability, particularly regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), which he described as a major issue eroding public trust in key institutions.

"The Winter Session of Parliament is very important. The SIR is a big issue in the country, and the opposition is committed to raising it effectively," MP Kang stated. "The credibility of the Election Commission is constantly being downgraded. Therefore, we demand to ensure transparency prevails and the democratic process remains uncompromised," said Kang.

MP Kang also responded to recent remarks by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, underscoring the ruling party's responsibility in facilitating productive parliamentary discourse. "The ruling side has the primary responsibility to run the parliamentary session smoothly," he remarked. "However, we observed that no meaningful efforts were made during the Monsoon Session by the ruling party, resulting in significant work remaining undone.

We hope that this session will prioritize discussions on people's issues and explore ways to safeguard the constitutional institutions of our country."
