Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab, Sibin C visited Government Polytechnic College, Khunimajra, Kharar to explore the possibility of adaptability of the trolley invented by the students of the Electrical Engineering Department to facilitate the polling parties in carrying EVMs and VVPATs. The Chief Electoral Officer, Sibin C, was accompanied by ADC (G) Geetika Singh and SDM Kharar, Ms Divya P. 

They were welcomed by the Principal, Ms Raksha Kiran, and the mentor of the students who invented the trolley, Dr Anshu Sharma, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department. Inspecting the working of this GPS-equipped trolley, the Chief Electoral Officer said that the invention of the students is valuable, but it will be examined at the level of the Chief Election Commission before proceeding further. 

He suggested some changes in the existing model developed by the students before presenting it to the CEC of India  for its approval. He appreciated the initiative taken by the technical institute and motivated the students to continue contributing innovative ideas that support public welfare and improve administrative processes. 

The students also demonstrated the operational features of the trolley and briefed the dignitaries about its design, load capacity, and safety mechanisms.
