Today, Punjab MLA and former Cabinet Minister Mr. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, while further accelerating the development revolution in Ajnala constituency, addressed impressive public gatherings held in the concerned villages on the occasion of laying the foundation stones of modern sports stadiums under construction in 7 villages, at a cost of ₹4.29 crore.

He said that in the first phase, the government led by Chief Minister of Punjab, S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, will spend ₹1,100 crore to construct new sports stadiums equipped with modern facilities such as various sports tracks, bathrooms and deep bores in around 3,000 villages across the state. In his address, he stated that the construction work of the sports stadiums for which the foundation stones have been laid today will commence within a week and will soon be completed and dedicated to players, sports lovers, sports promoters and the village panchayats.

Mr. Dhaliwal clarified that the government does not earn any financial profit from sports stadiums, health or education, but the Mann government considers the importance of sports — which keeps the youth healthy, energetic, educated and away from drugs — as the greatest social investment. Therefore, the government has taken the initiative to construct a modern sports stadium in almost every village to connect the youth with sports culture.

He added that to deliver health services to needy patients at their doorstep, Aam Aadmi Clinics have been set up, and to make education suitable for contemporary needs, schools are being transformed into smart institutions. MLA and former Cabinet Minister Mr. Dhaliwal began his address by paying heartfelt tribute to Ghadar Party’s young martyr Kartar Singh Sarabha and his seven associates who were hanged, calling them great martyrs of India’s freedom struggle.

He said that the Mann government is committed to realizing the dreams of healthcare, education, and employment envisioned by Kartar Singh Sarabha, Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, and other freedom fighters. Mr. Dhaliwal said that though he can never repay—even by sacrificing his life—the responsibility and affection the people of the constituency have entrusted him with by electing him as MLA, he is trying to repay that love through the all-round development of the constituency.

Earlier, Mr. Dhaliwal laid the foundation stones of modern sports stadiums under construction in seven villages — Bath, Chamiari, Dhariwal Kaler, Gujarpura, Jagdev Khurd, Kamalpura and Kyampura — amid slogans, cheers and applause. On this occasion, Khushpal Singh Dhaliwal, Gurjant Singh Sohi Chamiari, Zaildar Jarnail Singh, PA Mukhtiar Singh Baladwal, Chairman Baldev Singh Babbu Cheonpura, SDO Panchayati Raj Engineer Paramjit Singh Garewal, Pradhan Bhatti Jaspal Singh Dhillon, Urban President & Chairman Amit Aul, Advocate Sandeep Kaushal Gattu, along with village panchayat members including panches and sarpanches were present.
