Hockey India has announced to celebrate 100 years of Indian hockey with grand celebrations in over 550 districts of the country on November 7, 2025, dedicating the glorious legacy of Indian hockey. This historic day marks the foundation day of Hockey India on November 7, 1925, which has given India 8 Olympic golds and world-class players like magicians.
According to the Working President of Surjit Hockey Society, Mr. L. R. Nayyar, on this occasion, two matches are being organized by Surjit Hockey Academy, Jalandhar on November 7, 2025. These matches, which will start at 8:00 AM at Surjit Hockey Stadium, Burlton Park, Jalandhar, will be played between PIS-XI vs. Jalandhar-XI and Surjit-XI vs.
Alpha-XI respectively. He further said that this festival will not only be a reminder of the past but also an inspiration for the future. All hockey lovers are requested to join this historic day. The teams are as follows:-
