The District Administration Kathua today observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel-the Iron Man of India and architect of national integration.

Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Sharma, along with officers and officials of various departments, took the Unity Pledge in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the nation’s unity, integrity and security.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the pivotal role played by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in unifying the nation and underscored the importance of collective responsibility in preserving India’s unity in diversity. 

He urged all officers and employees to emulate the values of dedication, integrity and service exemplified by Sardar Patel in their professional and personal lives.
