Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama Dr. Basharat Qayoom today chaired a meeting at Administrative Complex Pulwama to review the progress of the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) in the district.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed the progress achieved under various components of the RDSS including feeder segregation, augmentation of sub-stations, erection and metering. A detailed presentation was presented highlighting the physical and financial progress, timelines of ongoing works, and the status of tendered and completed projects across different divisions.

The DC emphasized the importance of expediting all works under RDSS to ensure reliable and quality power supply to consumers. He directed the concerned officers to adhere to stipulated timelines, maintain proper coordination with the executing agencies, monitor daily progress and resolve bottlenecks, if any, on priority.

The DC Directed Project Implementation Agency (PIA ) PGCIL and TKC to prepare an action plan for daily monitoring of execution and submit daily progress report.  The DC further instructed the field staff to ensure public convenience during implementation and to carry out site inspections for monitoring work quality and safety compliance.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Executive Engineer KPDCL Division Pulwama and Awantipora; Executive Engineer, STD, Pulwama, and representatives from Project Implementing Agency, Project Monitoring Agency along with sub-let contractors.
