In a powerful demonstration of people-first governance, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ayushi Sudan, today spearheaded Block Diwas at the historic Baba Shivo Shrine in Goran, a far-flung area of Block Sumb, underscoring the administration’s unwavering resolve to reach every corner of the district, especially in times of crisis.
The public outreach initiative came at a critical juncture as the region grapples with the aftermath of devastating floods that swept through Jammu and Kashmir. With infrastructure crippled and communities disrupted, the DC’s visit signals a decisive turning point in the district’s recovery roadmap.
Moving beyond paperwork and protocols, DC Sudan conducted an extensive on-site evaluation of flood-ravaged infrastructure, including damaged roads, breached bridges and disrupted essential services.
