Two snatchers sustained injuries after their motorcycle slipped while attempting to flee from a police naka laid near Golden Palm Society, Mubarikpur Road on Friday Morning. Divulging the details, SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans said that the accused, identified as Sameer Khan s/o Rashid Khan, r/o Village & PS Kiratpur, District Bijnor (U.P.) and Sabrej s/o Rashid Khan, r/o Village & PS Kiratpur, District Bijnor (U.P.) with a criminal background, had recently snatched a mobile phone from a girl at Mubarikpur on October 1, 2025. 

A case (FIR No. 284 dated 02.10.2025 u/s 304, 3(5) BNS) was registered at Police Station Derabassi. Working on the technical and human inputs, a special team led by SHO Insp. Sumit Mor tracked down the culprits, added SP (Rural) Manpreet Singh and DSP Derabassi Bikramjeet Singh Brar, who were put on job to supervise the investigation.

SSP further said that the Police recovered the snatched mobile phone and the motorcycle used in the crime. Further investigation is on to ascertain their role in other incidents.
