National BJP leader and Patron of Punjabi Kalakar Manch (Regd.) Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal of Bhukhri Kalan, has expressed heartfelt appreciation for the role played by Punjabi singers, Karan Aujla, Gurdas Maan, Gippy Grewal, Ammy Virk, Diljit Dosanjh, Jasbir Jassi, Sonam Bajwa, Sonu Sood, and Satinder Sartaaj and lyricists, artists in supporting the people of Punjab during the ongoing crisis.

Grewal said that the present situation in Punjab has brought out the true spirit of unity and service, with the state’s artists taking responsibility even beyond the call of government. “They are the children of our family. They are our younger brothers, and I proudly say that they have risen to the occasion, leaving no shortcoming in financial help or in seva.

For them, I will not say ‘thanks,’ because thanks are for outsiders. For our own people, we say only one thing, Shabash. Shabash to the lions of Punjab,” he said. He further noted that the inspiring contribution of Punjabi artists has motivated even big names from the Bombay film industry to step forward, declaring that they too are ready to contribute money and service wherever responsibility is given.

In addition to praising leading singers and cultural figures, Grewal extended his gratitude to the President and office-bearers of Punjabi Kalakar Manch (Regd.) including Jaswant Sandila, Sukhwinder Sukhi, Pali Detwalia, Balbir Lahira, Harbans Sahota, Inderjit Nikku, Manjeet Rupowalia, Ranjit Mani, Atma Budhewalia, Happy Lapran, Aman Rozi, Makhan Preet, Harpal Thathewala, Chamkara, Rachhpal Surila, Bobby Amritsar, Gill Hardeep, A.S. Wazidpuri, Chamak Jhamkila, Bhinde Shah, Rajowalia, Kulwinder Kanwal, Harinder and Vicky Faridkot.

He said that these stalwarts are personally visiting flood-affected regions, offering help wherever required, and standing firm in the face of urgent needs. “Punjab’s people have given these artists immense love and respect, and now they are returning it with seva, sacrifice, and sincerity,” Grewal remarked.

Grewal said that the united spirit of Punjab’s artists is not only a source of strength for the flood-hit families but also a lesson for the nation. “Punjab will rise again stronger, braver, and more compassionate than ever before,” he affirmed.
