District Legal Services Authority Extends Helping Hand to Flood Affected People in Derabassi

Distributes relief material to 50 needy families in village Sadhapur and Dangdehra

In a noble initiative, District Legal Services Authority, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar extended helping hand to the flood affected residents of Derabassi area. Divulging the details, District and Sessions Judge-cum- Chairman, DLSA, Atul Kasana said that as per the directions of Mr. Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra, Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court and Executive Chairman, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, Five Core Committees have been constituted by the District Court, SAS Nagar for undertaking the relief measures in the flood affected areas in different parts of the district so as to identify the flood victims and ensure them supply of essential commodities.

Under this campaign, he further added that Mrs Surabhi Prashar, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority alongwith Mrs Navreet Kaur, Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division), Derabassi visited the flood affected areas under Derabasi block and distributed relief materials to 50 needy families in village Sadhapur and Dangdehra. Both assured the residents of the area that the District Legal Services Authority would provide them all kind of assistance.
