Haryana’s Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Sudhir Rajpal today reviewed the progress of ongoing works for the upgradation and improvement of District Hospitals across the state, being executed by the Public Works Department (Buildings & Roads). Additional Chief Secretary, PWD (B&R), Sh. Anurag Agarwal was also present in the meeting.

Subsequently, a review meeting was also held by the Engineer-in-Chief (Buildings), PWD (B&R) through videoconferencing to assess the pace and quality of works. These works are in line with the announcements made by Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini in the State Budget 2025–26.

During the meetings, clear directions were issued to all Executive Engineers of PWD (B&R) to ensure completion of repair and maintenance works in District Hospitals by September 15, 2025. The scope of works includes Civil Engineering, Electrical, and Horticulture improvements, aimed at creating more patient-friendly and functional hospital environments.

The State Government has earmarked Rs. 100 crore for these special repair works, being carried out by the Health Department through PWD (B&R).Emphasizing the government’s priority, Sh. Rajpal said modern, safe, and well-equipped hospitals are vital for ensuring better healthcare delivery. 

He added that timely completion of these projects will significantly improve patient services and working conditions for healthcare staff.He said the Haryana Government is committed to provide world-class healthcare infrastructure to every citizen, ensuring that quality medical services are accessible and available across all districts of the state.
