The District Administration Ramban today organized a Mega Tiranga Rally as part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign to mark the 79th Independence Day celebrations. Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, led the vibrant rally from Dak Bungalow, passing through the Main Market Ramban and Maitra, before culminating at the DC Office.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak, Addl. SP Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, and other senior officers. More than 2,000 prominent citizens, civil society members, students and local youth and people from all walks of life joined the celebration, with markets and streets awash in tricolour pride.
A 500-metre-long National Flag was one of the main attractions of the rally, adding grandeur and patriotic fervour to the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan said that the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is an expression of unity, integrity, and pride in the nation.
He urged all citizens to hoist the National Flag atop their homes and actively participate in Independence Day celebrations to strengthen the spirit of patriotism and community bonding. The DC congratulated the participants for their encouraging participation in Har Ghar Tiranga events across the district and said that such events foster a sense of patriotism and national pride.
Participants, including students, teachers and locals, expressed immense pride in being part of the Mega Tiranga Rally. Many described the experience of marching with the 500-metre-long tricolour through the bustling bridges and roads of Ramban as “once in a lifetime.”
