In a resounding tribute to the spirit of India’s independence and unity, the Mega Har Ghar Tiranga Rally was held in Rajpura today with unprecedented enthusiasm and participation. The event, organized as part of the nationwide “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, aimed to inspire every citizen to proudly hoist the Indian Tricolour at their homes and workplaces in the run-up to Independence Day.

The rally witnessed the presence of several prominent dignitaries including Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Ramgarh and Former Minister for Health and Medical Education, J&K; District Development Council (DDC) Chairman Jammu Bharat Bhushan and DDC Rajpura Asha Rani, DDC Vijaypur Shilpa Dubey; and Former BDC Chairman Radha Sham. 

Their collective participation underscored the importance of fostering unity and instilling a deep sense of patriotism across all sections of society. Also present on the occasion were senior officials including Dr. Sumit Sharma JKPS, DSP Headquarters Samba, SHO Ghagwal Naveen Angral, Er. Aabber Khan, Incharge Police Post Rajpura, Mandal President Rajpura Asha Rani, General Secretary Ranjit Singh, Mandal Rajpura; and Sanju Sharma, Shakti along with hundreds of local residents, students, and volunteers.

The rally commenced from Near Police Post Rajpura, passing through the heart of Rajpura town and covering major thoroughfares before culminating at Baba Bharam Dev Sathan. Participants, waving the Tiranga high and chanting patriotic slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” “Vande Mataram,” “Jai Hind,” and " PM Narinder Modi Zindabad" created an electrifying atmosphere of unity and pride. 

Roadsides were lined with enthusiastic citizens who joined in the celebrations, while houses and shops were adorned with the colours of the national flag, turning the entire route into a visual spectacle. 

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal said, “The Tiranga is not just a flag; it is a living embodiment of our nation’s pride, sacrifice, and unity. Every citizen has a responsibility to safeguard its honour and display it with reverence. 

This campaign is a reminder that patriotism is not limited to special occasions but should be reflected in our everyday actions towards the country.” He also commended the people of Rajpura for their enthusiastic participation and urged everyone to contribute actively to national causes.

DDC Chairman Jammu Bharat Bhushan and DDC Rajpura & District President Asha Rani expressed her pride in witnessing such unity in the community, stating, “The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is more than just about hoisting the flag it is about reconnecting with our roots, remembering the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, and instilling a deep respect for the values of democracy and integrity.”

DDC Vijaypur Shilpa Dubey highlighted the importance of involving the youth in such patriotic initiatives, adding, “When our young generation actively participates in campaigns like these, we ensure that the flame of patriotism continues to burn bright for generations to come.”

The rally concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, resonating through the streets of Rajpura as participants stood in unison, heads held high and hearts filled with pride. The event not only reinforced the significance of the Tiranga but also reflected the unwavering commitment of the community towards building a stronger and more united India.

Organizers extended their gratitude to all dignitaries, law enforcement officials, volunteers, and residents for their wholehearted cooperation, which contributed to making the rally a resounding success. 

The Mega Har Ghar Tiranga Rally in Rajpura will be remembered as a powerful reminder of the collective strength and unity that binds the people of India under the folds of the Tricolour.
