In a considerate gesture to support grieving families, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, today disbursed ₹3.75 lakh as compensation under the J&K Road Accident Victim Fund.
The disbursement followed case submissions by ARTO Kishtwar, Tasleem Wani. An amount of ₹1 lakh each was disbursed to the legal heirs of three deceased road accident victims, while ₹75,000 was given to a victim who suffered permanent disability.
The families who received compensation were Nandani Devi D/o Kewal Singh R/o Chitto Paddar, Yasir Hussain S/o Mohammad Hussain R/o Nagseni, Tahir Hussain S/o Ranjha R/o Keshwan and Khifitullah S/o Mohd Hanief R/o Chamoti (permanently disabled).
