The Department of Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Rajouri successfully concluded a seven-day training programme on Basic Soil Testing and Associated Parameters, aimed at nurturing entrepreneurial qualities among the younger generation.

This specialized training marked the first batch at the Soil Testing Laboratory (STL) Rajouri and witnessed the participation of 11 final-year students from PG College Rajouri.
The programme was designed to equip the students with practical knowledge and skills in soil analysis, fertility management, and modern agricultural practices, thereby fostering self-employment opportunities in the agri-allied sector.
The training was meticulously conducted under the overall supervision of Madan Gopal Singh, Chief Agriculture Officer Rajouri, with technical guidance and support from Assistant Soil Chemist Rajouri, District Agriculture Officer Extension Rajouri, and STL Research Assistants. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all stakeholders involved in the successful organization of the programme.
