District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch, Vikas Kundal today chaired a comprehensive meeting at the Conference Hall of the DC Office to review the implementation of various beneficiary-oriented welfare schemes being run in the district.

The meeting aimed to assess the progress, coverage, and effectiveness of multiple welfare schemes across all stakeholder departments. Officers from concerned departments presented detailed updates, highlighting achievements and identifying bottlenecks to ensure that benefits reach all eligible recipients in a timely and efficient manner.

The schemes reviewed included PMFBY, PM Jan Dhan Yojana, Kissan Khidmat Ghars, Smart Kisan Credit Cards, Farmer Skilling Programs, Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), Self Help Group formation, IHHLs, PM SVANidhi, HADP, Daksh Kisan, PMEGP, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, and Poshan Tracker coverage.

Progress under PMAY (Urban) was also discussed, with a specific focus on the number of houses completed and handed over to beneficiaries. The meeting also reviewed data related to ration card holders under NFSA, NPHH, and beneficiaries identified by the FCS & CA Department, along with household tap connections under the Jal Shakti Department. 

The DDC directed the Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti to ensure 100% household water supply coverage in alignment with ration card data. The Irrigation Department's progress under PM-KUSUM, especially regarding the installation of solar irrigation pumps, was also discussed.

The Health Department provided insights into key indicators such as institutional deliveries, low birth weight, sex ratio, and the status of Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) and Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK). 

The DDC praised achieving 100% institutional deliveries across the district and directed the Chief Medical Officer to closely monitor health program implementation. In the Education sector, infrastructure improvements such as toilet construction, drinking water availability, and school electrification were reviewed to ensure a cordial learning environment.

The DDC also took stock of the schemes implemented by the Revenue and Social Welfare Departments including the issuance of OBC, RBA, EWS, ST, Domicile and Income certificates, along with scholarships, Ladli Beti, State Marriage Assistance Scheme, and pension schemes under ISSS and NSAP. 

He instructed officers to keep beneficiary records updated and ensure seamless scheme execution. The Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department was directed to expedite the Artificial Insemination and vaccination drives to achieve 100% target coverage.

He urged all departments to streamline procedures, enhance transparency, and eliminate delays in the disbursement of entitlements to beneficiaries. The meeting was attended by ADDC, ADC, PO ICDS, GM DIC, ACP, CPO, ACD/CEO MC, CMO, CAHO, CAO, DSWO, XEN JPDCL, AD FCS & CA, LDM and other officers from line departments.
