Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the implementation of PM Surya Ghar - Muft Bijli Yojna in the district. The scheme aims to increase share of solar roof top capacity and empower residential households to generate their own electricity and reducing the monthly billing with significant financial contribution from the government.
Executive Engineer KPDCL Kulgam through his power point presentation apprised the chair that around 2300 applications have been received for registration in the district. DC emphasized on the division-wise mass outreach campaign to sensitize public about the scheme.
He also directed the KPDCL officials to ensure timely installation of the roof top solar plants and release of subsidies to beneficiaries. The meeting was attended by CPO, Malik Suheel; ACR, Reyaz Ahmad Shah; Tehsildars, XEN KPDCL, LDM, JKEDA, all AEEs, AEs, JEs of KPDCL and RDD officials participated in the meeting.
