Udhampur: 135 loan assistance cases approved under Mission YUVA scheme

Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee for the Mission YUVA scheme to evaluate, screen and approve loan assistance applications across various sectors, including the Nano and MSME categories.

The meeting was attended by GM DIC Kishore Singh Katoch, Deputy Director Employment Mohinder Sharma, Assistant Director Employment Priyanka Gupta along with concerned departmental officers and representatives from the banking sector.

After a comprehensive scrutiny of the applications, the Committee approved 135 loan cases out of the total 138 applications put before the Panel. While speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner underscored the need to expedite the implementation process through effective coordination among all line departments. 

She directed the concerned officers to ensure 100 percent approval of eligible cases under the scheme. Highlighting the significance of Mission YUVA in empowering youth through self-employment opportunities, the DC stressed the importance of robust monitoring of the activities of YUVA Doots. 

She further instructed the concerned departments to organize regular awareness camps across the district to ensure wider outreach and participation.
