In a remarkable demonstration of swift action, seamless coordination and an unwavering commitment to public service, the District Administration Rajouri under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma successfully rescued and saved the life of a child trapped in a river near Muradpur, Rajouri, amidst flood-like situation.
The life-saving operation was made possible through the prompt mobilisation of resources and close coordination with the Army and Jammu & Kashmir Police. A critical element of the rescue was the timely arrangement of an Army helicopter, ensuring that the child was rescued from the river.
Two youth Imtiaz Ahmed, S/o Mohd Sadeeq, R/o Kakora and Mustafa Hussain, S/o Arab Hussain, R/o Chandimarh also played a vital role in assisting the District Administration during the rescue operation. In recognition of their courage and timely support, the DC felicitated both individuals with a cash award of ₹5,000 each.
