Mission YUVA gains momentum in Baramulla with 232 cases approval

In a significant development under the Mission YUVA initiative, the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) Baramulla under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa today approved 232 cases aimed at youth empowerment and self-employment.

During the meeting, DC while reviewing the progress of the scheme, appreciated the efforts of the SBDU team and instructed them to maintain the momentum of case verification at SBDU level. He emphasized that all necessary support shall be extended to ensure timely processing and handholding of applicants.

Officers were further asked to fast-track the application processing and Detailed Project Report (DPR) preparation to facilitate timely assistance to beneficiaries. Highlighting the need for institutional strengthening, the chair also issued directions for the immediate engagement of SBDU and BHD members in line with the comprehensive guidelines issued by the Director Employment-cum-Mission Director, Mission YUVA.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Director Employment Baramulla, District Social Welfare Officer, Lead District Manager, Cluster Head J&K Bank, Deputy General Manager NABARD, Nodal Officer JKEDI, Functional Manager DIC and other officers from the Employment department.
