In a significant development, Punjab Police have arrested two accused involved in the recent murder of cloth merchant Sanjay Verma in Abohar. This was disclosed today by Special Director General of Police (Law & Order) Mr. Arpit Shukla, IPS, during a press conference held in Abohar.

Mr. Shukla informed that the investigation in the case is progressing rapidly and that all accused will be in police custody soon. Multiple wings and teams of Punjab Police are working in coordination to trace the culprits, and the probe is moving in the right direction.

He stated that two accused have already been apprehended:

1. Ram Ratan, son of Ramesh Kumar

2. Jaspreet Singh, son of Hardeep Singh

The Special DGP further clarified that no prior threat had been reported by the family before the incident. He said the Punjab Police are using both technical and human intelligence to expedite the investigation and assured that all remaining accused will also be arrested shortly.

Mr. Shukla emphasized that Punjab Police is a professional force committed to delivering justice in this case. On this occasion, DIG Ferozepur Range Mr. Harmanbir Singh Gill, DIG AGTF Mr. Gurmeet Singh Chauhan, and SSP Fazilka Mr. Gurmeet Singh were also present.
