Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today said that the Aam Aadmi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party were two sides of the same coin as both where abusing and undermining the constitution.  Addressing the ‘Save Constitution’ rally here today, he pointed how the BJP had misused the constitutional institutions against the political opponents. 

He alleged that the BJP and the RSS had no faith in constitution and they had never accepted and recognised it. That is why, he added, the BJP was keen to change the constitution. But the people of the country saw through their designs and reduced them to 240 seats. 

Warring reiterated and reaffirmed that the Congress was only party that believed in the constitution of the country. He said, this country belongs to everyone irrespective of the caste, creed or sect. He assured that the Congress will never let the BJP to harm the constitution. 

The PCC president accused the AAP government of abusing the power and intimidating the political opponents. He said, it did not even spare the peacefully agitating farmers.He expressed grave concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab and people were not feeling safe anymore under the AAP government. 

“In Punjab we are faced with the double whammy as the AAP government here is completely following the footsteps of the BJP government at the centre. There is no rule of law in Punjab. It is a classic case of ‘Might is Right’”, he added. 

CLP leader Partap Singh Bajwa and AICC General Secretary Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa at Dera Baba Nanak also addressed the rally. Among those present included PCC General Secretary organisation, Capt Sandeep Sandhu, Kulbir Singh Zira and others.
