The first meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) under Mission YUVA was convened here today. Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik chaired the meeting to review and approve the cases verified by the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU).
A total of 17 cases, verified by SBDU, were placed before the Committee for consideration and the same were approved for financial assistance and handholding support under the Mission YUVA.
The Committee, headed by the Deputy Commissioner, conducted detailed scrutiny of each application, assessing the eligibility, business viability and the socio-economic background of the applicants.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the critical need to promote self-employment opportunities for local youth, particularly those from underprivileged and marginalized communities.
She urged all stakeholder departments to ensure prompt release of financial assistance, regular monitoring and comprehensive mentoring to guarantee long-term success and sustainability of the approved projects.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Sukhdev Singh Samyal; General Manager DIC Kishore Singh, AD Employment (Member Secretary) Annie Vaid, DSWO, Cluster Head JK Bank, DDM Nabard, representative from JKEDI and other officers concerned.
