Punjab Genco Limited Chairman Navjot Singh Jarg on Tuesday dedicated infrastructure development projects worth Rs 1.78 crores at six government schools falling under the Sahnewal constituency. The inaugurated projects included improvements in schools located in the villages of Pawan, Sahnewal Khurd, Jandiali, Machian Kalan, Sasrali Kalan, and Noorwala.

During the inauguration ceremonies, the Chairman highlighted that the Punjab Sikhya Kranti initiative aims to upgrade school infrastructure comprehensively. This includes constructing modern school buildings, establishing smart classrooms, updating furniture, creating state-of-the-art laboratories, building secure boundary walls, providing clean drinking water facilities, and enhancing libraries.

He noted that an investment of Rs 2,000 crores is being allocated for the transformation of these schools. Jarg reiterated the Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) promise from the 2022 election to enhance the education and health sectors in Punjab.

The government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is now delivering on its commitment by providing quality education through excellent school infrastructure.
