Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, on Saturday, paid rich tributes to Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, senior J&K Administrative Service Officer, who tragically lost his life in cross Line of Control (LoC) shelling in Rajouri.

During a meeting attended by the legislators, DDC members and district administration officers, the Minister praised Dr. Thapa's remarkable administrative career and outstanding contributions towards J&K administration.

The Minister highlighted Dr. Thapa's dedication and service, which earned him deep respect from colleagues and the people. The meeting, which began with a moment of silence to honor Dr. Thapa's supreme sacrifice, was convened to review developmental activities in Rajouri district.

The Minister also had a detailed review of the post-ceasefire assessment and compensation process being implemented by the district authorities. The meeting appreciated Dr. Thapa's commitment to public service and his impact on the region's development. 

The participants remembered Dr. Thapa's service with reverence, acknowledging his significant contributions during his posting in Rajouri district.
