National farmers leader, BJP Kisan Morcha, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal, launched a scathing attack on the Bhagwant Mann-led Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab. Grewal strongly condemn the tragic and horrifying deaths of 14 innocent individuals due to consumption of illicit and poisonous liquor in villages Bhangali, Dhariwal, and Mari Kalan of the Majitha constituency in Amritsar district.

Grewal said, “This is not just a tragedy—it is a cold-blooded massacre of the poor by the complete failure, criminal negligence, and complicit silence of the Punjab government. What else do you call it when illicit liquor flows freely under the nose of the state, while the administration sleeps or worse, shields the mafia?

These 14 deaths are not accidents. They are murders. Murders that have happened due to Bhagwant Mann’s incompetence, apathy, and shameless governance.” He further added, “What happened in Majitha is a repeat of the same old story under AAP’s rule—bootleggers flourishing, mafias growing stronger, and innocent lives being destroyed.

It is a shame that instead of accepting total responsibility, CM Bhagwant Mann hides behind hollow condolences and empty promises. Words will not bring back the dead.”Grewal lambasted the Chief Minister’s so-called statement as mere eyewash, calling it a “scripted, theatrical response for media optics.”

He said, “Had Bhagwant Mann truly cared, he would have cracked down on the liquor mafia long ago. Instead, his administration has allowed Punjab to become a hub for illegal liquor, drugs, and crime.” Demanding immediate justice, Grewal said, “The government must book all those responsible under murder charges.

The entire supply chain—from the source to the sellers—must be exposed and dismantled. Mere arrests are not enough. The political protection these criminals enjoy must be investigated.”

He also demanded a judicial inquiry under a sitting High Court judge and immediate compensation and rehabilitation for the families of the victims. “Punjab is burning under the AAP regime, and Bhagwant Mann is fiddling like Nero.

The blood of these 14 Punjabis is on his hands,”Grewal thundered, urging people of Punjab to wake up to the dangerous cocktail of crime and corruption under the AAP government.
