Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala organised its Annual Convocation 2025 for the session 2023-24 on April 2, 2025. The day was marked with the esteemed presence of the Honourable Deputy Commissioner of Patiala, Dr. Preeti Yadav as the Chief Guest. It was organised under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata.
The event was coordinated by the Registrar House Examination Dr. Jaspreet Kaur. It commenced with the Academic procession followed by the lamp lighting ceremony. The college Principal presented the college Report and outlined the illustrious achievements of the students in academics, co-curricular activities and sports.
As many as 303 students were awarded degrees, comprising 270 Graduates and 33 Postgraduates, consisting of 219 Girls and 84 Boys. The Chief Guest, in her address, emphasized the importance of Higher Education in shaping the future of the nation.
She motivated the students to contribute meaningfully to community also and encouraged them to embrace challenges with confidence and determination. The Principal congratulated the students and reminded them that learning doesn’t merely end with achieving the degree but continues throughout life and encouraged them to be the leaders of change in the society.
The occasion was also graced by the presence of Principals from various colleges, retired Professors, Alumni members, P.T.A. representatives, HEIS governing body members and several eminent professionals from various fields.
The event concluded with Vote of Thanks proposed by the Registrar who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest for her valuable presence, the college administration for its support, and the faculty members for their dedication. The entire program was coordinated by Dr. Rekha Rani, Dr. Reetu Kapoor, Dr. Parmjit Singh and the whole Bikram staff.
