The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri  on Wednesday flagged-off an IEC Van under  ‘Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi’ initiative at mini secretariat Bandipora. Speaking on the occasion, the DC emphasized the importance of integrating early education with proper nutrition to ensure the holistic development of children.

He said that the IEC Van will traverse different areas of the district to spread awareness about the initiative, highlighting the significance of cognitive learning, health, and early childhood development.

He highlighted the aim of ‘Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi’ campaign  to transform Anganwadi Centers into vibrant learning hubs by providing better infrastructure, engaging play-based education, and upskilling Anganwadi Workers to deliver quality early childhood care and education.

He urged the parents to take advantage of the various facilities being provided under the Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi initiative. Among others, the flag-off ceremony was attended by District Programme Officer Poshan Project Bandipora, Yaar Ali Khan; Supervisors, Anganwadi Workers and other concerned.
