Er. Inderpal Singh and Er. Hira Lal Goyal have joined as Director (Distribution) and Director (Commercial), respectively, of Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd (PSPCL) today. Their appointments were made by Ajoy Kumar Sinha, Principal Secretary, Department of Power, Punjab, for a tenure of two years from the date of joining. 

However, they will not be eligible to continue in service beyond the age of 65.

Er. Inderpal Singh – Director (Distribution)

Born on July 22, 1967, Er. Inderpal Singh joined PSEB on September 16, 1991. Prior to this appointment, he was serving as Chief Engineer (Enforcement) at PSPCL, Patiala.With nearly 34 years of experience, including 25 years in distribution, he possesses in-depth expertise in metering, distribution, P&M, enforcement, and material inspection. 

He has played a key role in strengthening the distribution system through planning and construction. As an enforcement officer, he enhanced checking mechanisms and expedited the resolution of complaints. Known for his leadership skills, he believes in teamwork and collaboration.

Er. Hira Lal Goyal – Director (Commercial)

Born on June 5, 1966, Er. Hira Lal Goyal joined PSEB on November 2, 1989, and has since amassed 35 years of experience across multiple domains, including distribution, Grid O&M, stores, planning, thermal, hydel, enforcement, technical audit, HR at PSTCL, and planning at PSTCL.

Strategic Vision for PSPCL

After assuming office, Er. Inderpal Singh held a review meeting with PSPCL officials, emphasising the importance of uninterrupted power supply across all sectors—agriculture, industry, and households. He stressed the need for special preparedness ahead of the upcoming paddy season and assured that industrial and domestic power supply would remain smooth during the summer. 

Calling industry the "backbone of the economy," he highlighted the need for special attention to its energy requirements.
