In a significant step towards academic and research collaboration, AIIMS Bathinda and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the IISER Mohali campus today. The MOU, signed by Professor Meenu Singh, Director of AIIMS Bathinda, and Dr. AK Tripathi, Director of IISER Mohali, aims to create opportunities for both institutions to collaborate on developing joint programs, courses, and exchange programs for students and faculty.

The agreement is poised to leverage the strengths of both institutes in healthcare and scientific research. According to the MOU, the institutions will work together to design and offer innovative academic programs and courses that cater to the emerging needs of the healthcare and science sectors.

These collaborative efforts will be based on a comprehensive approach, incorporating modern pedagogy, advanced research techniques, and shared resources. Speaking about the collaboration, Professor Meenu Singh expressed enthusiasm over the opportunity, stating, “This partnership with IISER Mohali will enable us to strengthen our academic and research capabilities, especially in the fields of medical sciences and healthcare.

The sharing of resources and knowledge between AIIMS Bathinda and IISER will benefit students and faculty, providing them with a broader platform for learning and research.” Dr. AK Tripathi echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the potential for both institutions to lead in interdisciplinary education and research.

“Through this MOU, IISER Mohali is excited to engage with AIIMS Bathinda to explore new avenues for collaborative research and create avenues for student and faculty exchanges. Our collective expertise can drive innovation, particularly in the intersection of science, medicine, and technology,” he said.

In addition to curriculum development, the MOU lays the groundwork for faculty and student exchange programs, fostering a knowledge-sharing culture between the two prestigious institutions. These programs are expected to allow students from both institutes to gain exposure to diverse fields, enhancing their academic and professional growth.

The partnership between AIIMS Bathinda and IISER Mohali represents a significant milestone in strengthening ties between premier educational institutions in India. By combining their resources and expertise, both institutes aim to contribute to the nation’s knowledge economy and pave the way for groundbreaking advancements in education, research, and innovation.

With the MOU now in place, AIIMS Bathinda and IISER Mohali look forward to future collaborations that will shape the next generation of leaders in science, medicine, and healthcare.
